CAP II is offered by Nicholson Yachts with Block Island Maritime Funding (BIMF), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, through a flexible three-year lease-to-purchase structure. Lease payments may be made monthly, quarterly, annually, or paid in full upfront, and are interest-free. The purchase price is set at the start of the lease based on a three-year depreciation schedule and is typically below current market value.
At the end of the term, the lessee may purchase the vessel at the pre-agreed final buyout payment or return it to BIMF with no penalties.
